RIMDRO

A rimdro is a religious practice through which we reflect on our mistakes and learn to live a good life. We also pray for a long and good life. We also pray for all the suffering to end.

We invite the monks to our house to perform rimdro. But before we do so we invite another group of monks to come and make the torma. It is     believed  that after the rimdro the torma is full of devils and bad luck.
We call our relatives and friends to the rimdro. The bow and take wang from the head lama. They give money to the spirits for their well being. After the rimdro we have a feast and starting we don’t spend any money for at least 3 days. The Bhutanese do rimdro usually for only once a year.
