The Life of Guru Rinpoche {short form}

When the Buddha  was about to die, he said,"After I die, I will be born again in the country of  Ugyen as Pema Jungney. "  today the country of Ugyen lies in the swat valley in Pakistan{not that swat in where you kill a person or rob a bank and a police gang comes to arrest you}

Many years later, a beautiful boy was born in a lotus in the middle of a lake in the country of Ugyen. He was  called Padma  Sambahava or Pema Jungney which means "born  from lotus".

And if you want to know more about Guru Rinpoche and lord Buddha you may buy these books.

Indrabuti was the king of Ugyen  at that time. he had no childern of his own so, he adopted Padma   Sambahava as his son. When Padma grew up he had no interest in being a king

Trongsa

Trongsa is famous because of the great Trongsa Penlop who made & formed Bhutan.he was crowned king on 1907. Before 1907 Bhutan was not at peace. each valley had its own ruler there were many Desis and Penlops who ruled different regions of the country.
   They used to fight for more land and power.

Bhutan did not have a strong and powerful ruler who could stop the fighting. Jigme Namgay  from Kurtoe  region under Lhuentse Dzongkhag, finally came out as the most powerful Penlop. In 1870, he was appointed as Desi. in 1907,  Ugyen Wangchuk the son of Jigme  Namgyel became the first king of Bhutan. finally the people enjoyed happiness under king Ugyen Wangchuk.

King Ugyen Wangchuk was born in 1862.   When he was young he helped his father manage the Dzongkhag and the work.When he was crowned king he made friendship with India.

Paro Taksang

Paro Taktsang is a legend place of where Guru Rinpoche came to subdue the evil spirits and demons riding on a tigress . Legend knows why even though those stones above you looks like it is going to crush you flat but the power of Guru Rinpoche does not let it happen.
 From this picture you see that Monastery at the highest ?looks like it will fall of but no, nobody knows why but we believe it is Guru Rinpoche making that happen
